How It All Began…2 min read

When I was 19, I discovered something called “books.” I fell in love with reading uncensored, uncut short stories, as well as books that offered principles to overcome challenges and grow stronger – but I could never find a book that did both. In fact, it didn’t take me long to realize one massive flaw with the personal growth books…

I realized that 99.9% of the writers/speakers in the personal growth sector create a fake, “holier than thou” persona. Most have no original message and simply repeat what others say, yet act like they have all the answers. These people are false prophets who would rather bury their flaws or mistakes they’ve made because they care more about looking perfect than looking human. They care more about their image than your journey. In short, they are writing with their ego and not with their heart.

That didn’t sit well with me.

This is the reason I started writing in the first place. I got so sick of reading from these self-congratulatory authors that I decided to go against the grain, share my own uncensored stories, and capitalize on the dumb things I’ve said or done rather than bury them. I would rather provide content that people can relate to, to hopefully connect with them on a deeper level, even if at the expense of offending others.

As a rule of thumb, if you notice an extreme characteristic in someone, it is often a cover-up for the opposite quality: the greedy individual who makes public of how charitable they are. The narcissist who puts on fake acts of humility. The “holier than thou” virtue-signaler who is compensating for their apathetic, deceitful nature. Not exactly somebody I would want to learn from…

If you still insist on reading from the conventional, superficial, “holier than thou” writers, then this content isn’t for you. This blog is meant to share uncensored stories that are rooted in timeless principles.

I’m writing for those who want to laugh, and who also want to grow to be their best. Let’s take ourselves less seriously, and our goals, our character, our purpose more seriously.

None of us are perfect, and that’s not the goal. The mindset here isn’t to strive for perfection but to strive for excellenceLet’s turn weakness into strength, mistakes into wisdom, and setbacks into comebacks.
